Rudee Angler 36 Hour Report

Our first 36 hour trip of 2009 was a great trip! We started out Saturday morning will thunderstorms in the distance and southwest winds around 15 knots, with the promise of better weather to come. We fished a few wrecks to start out the day catching some very nice sea bass. Then it was off to the deep. Plenty of black belly rose fish and some barrel fish and hake mixed in. Sadly to say we did not have any bites that night, other then eels. The next morning we were on the rose fish again with more barrel fish. With everyone exhausted from the deep water. We headed for the blueline tiles, where we had decent action with several citations. At the end of the day we decided the head to one more wreck on the way in. Jackpot!!!!! Big sea bass!! What a great way to finish a great trip.

Looking forward to our next trip!!

WE HAD AN OVERALL GREAT CATCH!

GIVE US A CALL AT 757-425-3400 TO SET UP YOUR NEXT TRIP!

RUDEE ANGLER DEEP DROP REPORT

Our offshore trips from the past few weeks have been going really well. In an effort to not sound repetitive, we decided to combine our last few trips. We have been consistantly catching a satisfying amount of tilefish, Sea Bass, and Black Belly Rosefish. We have had citations up to 15 pounds on the Tilefish, and many fish around the 10 pound range. We have also had very nice size Sea Bass, with few citations as well. In addition, we have been catching snowy Grouper, about 2 per trip each time, around the 40 pound range. Barrelfish have also been showing up lately. We have had many successful trips out to the norfolk Canyon this past summer, and we will continue to run offshore trips throughout the fall and winter. Give us a call at 757-425-3400 to learn more about our 16 hour and 36 hour trips.

Please check the photo gallery on our website to look at new uploaded pictures from our prevous trips.

Also, our last summer 12 hour trip is Thursday, September 3rd. We started out by leaving the Inlet early at 4:30 AM, with a North wind blowing a minimal 10 kts. The weather was a great start to our morning! Once we hit the Canyon, we started hooking an abundance Black Belly Rosefish! We caught plenty, with many of the anglers filling their coolers. In addition to the Rosefish, we caught a lot of Sea Bass and Blueline Tilefish! On top of these great catches, 4 Golden Tilefish were also caught, weighing up to 40 punds!! This past Thursday was an excellent catch, with a ranging variety of fishes!
