#146385 Enough boat?

I've seen some small boats way out. Maybe if you have someone to run with and catch a perfect weather day (all day). 50 miles out is a long way in an 18' Trophy. Don't forget a long run like that is a waste of time if you don't carry the right tackle with you. A nice tuna will shred your inshore stuff.

I wouldn't go past the light tower in a 18: boat. Do you have a GPS? It's 50 miles to the canyon. What's your fuel capacity? Book a charter and be safe.

Great job! Grandfather would be proud. There's something special about taking an old boat and making it new. Even more special when it belonged to granddad! Looks great!

Captain Rom on the "Release" says the King Mackerel fishing has been excellent in Hatteras the last three days and there are a few blackfin and yellowfin tuna offshore. Weather is looking good for next week so lets go fishing.

NMFS reminds BFT anglers that the default Angling category retention limit of one school, large school, or small medium BFT (measuring 27 to less than 73 inches) will apply effective January 1, 2012, and remain in effect, unless and until changed. The Angling category daily retention limit applies to vessels permitted in the HMS Angling category and the HMS Charter/Headboat category while fishing recreationally.
