Men are afraid to rock the boat in which they hope to drift safely through life's currents, when, actually, the boat is stuck on a sandbar. They would be better off to rock the boat and try to shake it loose. -Thomas Szasz

Congradulations on the shark hunt! I have a few questions I would like to ask if I may - What kind of sharks are they? Where did catch them? And after they pulled you around for probably an eternity how long was the fight? And of course how did you kill them I.E. shoot them, knife/gutem,.... I seen where on a boat they turn them around backwards, tie a rope to the tail and drown them but on a kayak I just don't know how would you do it? Definitly looks like fun!

The body shape looks like a bull shark, short and thick. Wow. I hope they eat them. I'm not the "kill for the fun of it" type.

I have no idea, saw the pics on another site and thought they were funny. The properties of the first picture label it as :::/photos/516807-IMGSalmonShark.JPG

I saw the second picture with all the kayaks together posted on a kayak site and they said it was from down around New Zealand. Figures!

Salmon Sharks are only found in N. Pacific, so either its not a salmon shark or they are not from NZ. But it is still an awesome pic. Totally crazy.

Conway Bowman is a guide out of San Diego, who takes folks fly fishing for Mako sharks (catch & release). I heard a great interview with him in the Ask About Fly Fishing Podcast, where he talks about a time he was fly fishing for big sharks like these from a kayak. He seemed to think it was a really dumb idea, and since he catches sharks for a living, I'll have to take his word for it...

If you have a long drive coming up, or need something to listen to while you're working on your fishing gear around the house, check out the episode here: http://www.askaboutf...nway/conway.cfm
