Left Back River this morning headed to the 3rd Island, orange glowing sky in the east, flat calm water and drinking coffee on the way. Made some cast around the island caugth only a couple small Stripers, about 20". Went over to the 4th tube to see if any Flounder were around went through 5 spot in about 10 minutes. Stripers, Bluefish and a 27" Red Drum. Then went out by bouy 9 and 11 another small Bluefish. Next went to Cape Henry no current for a long time. I caught one 29" Striper right by the wreck. Finally got some current and I think I only had one missed flounder hit in about 3 hours there. I did catch a 46" Red Drum there on a Flounder Rig with a piece of frozen Flounder belly. It took about 20 minutes to get in on a small spinnig rod and reel. I called a friend to come over and they took a picture with there cell phone, thet said it came out pretty good. I got the fish revived and released it. Then I went back to the 4th and tried for some Flounder there, but all I caught were Stripers. I had one that was 23" I kept because I thought It would just die. I did not here of any good size Flounder caught. The water is still 66-67 but a little cloudy, they still got to be there just not my day.
