Volunteer Report Sat 24th & Sun 25th Not Much....

Sat: Trolled the York River Channel all afternoon then trolled to the Hump where we floated live eels - Nada. Stayed out till about 9 pm and finally gave up. Frustrating was the fact that we were marking fish everywhere, I mean everywhere, but no bird activity and no fish, not one bite.
Sun: Took the small boat out and found some pretty good bird activity right in the Poquoson River. Picked up 3 small stripers 19-21 inches - nice table fare. Floated eels at Hump again, and again, nothing. Ran to Plantation Light and trolled that area till about 4 pm, nothing. Guess we should've just stayed in Poquoson River, huh?
Oh, well, at least we got the striper skunk out of the box....
Tight lines,

Tight lines,
Tom,
Sorry you didn't get into some bigger fish on Light and YRC, but at least you got some great table fare!
I'll send you my Fish Dance Video so you have another trick up your sleeve if it gets slow again.
Tight lines to the steadfast crew of Volunteer and Lil Vol!

The small boat, 22' Mako CC, is now named the "Miss Winette", and it runs great. Does about 45 mph tops -- fast enough for me!
Go Vols!!!
