at 830 AM trucks were backed up on general booth blvd eight deep waiting in line to launch. both parking lots are full and trucks in the overflow lot are blocking each other in three deep.

vbgreg returned to owls creek around 900 AM with two fat stripers stretched out on deck. vbgreg reporte the bite is ON! and to go south 2 miles and stay near shore.

good luck parking if you plan on launching today.

you're welcome wes. vb needs to do something about that parking. at least they need a worker in the overflow lot. incidently, just incase you're thinking about it, DO NOT park in owls creek outside of the marked spots like a lot of guys do unless you want a parking ticket. VBPD will swoop in and ticket parking, trucks, and trailers with out-of-date stickers too.

it should be interesting this afternoon.

Saturday 01-05-2008 -- Just returned from Owls Creek ramp.........Man what a mess! Had to unhook my trailer and stash it between two obstacles and find a place for my truck. This place is crazy! Been here, done that! Not so hot on the stripers... Heard some were caught but we got skunked. Fished outside Rudee from 11:00 Am to 12:00 PM then went south to Sandbridge. Fished in 35 ft with a lot of other boats but the best marks fo us came from abot 30-32 Ft. Some Gannets diving and a lot of marks but not a single hit. Parachute rig, double Mojo's etc. Will be helping on a charter tomorrow and hope the bite turns on. Was there an early bite outside Rudee today? Will try on Monday also. Best to get an early start?

Hope you all had a good catch!

PS VB Police were checking trailers

I put in at Crab Creek also, Suprisingly uncrowded! no wait in or out?
Figures as it seems most of the fish were down south a bit. Did manage
one fat 38" and a 24" throw back, both dragging stretch 25's
Not alot of fish but the ramp was pleasant, beats working any
day of the week! cool.gif
