Do any of you remember my longtime mate and friend Johnny Savage? He is now a Captain of a brand new Viking yacht which is a private boat. On this day I gave him one chance to get me back for everything I put him through fishing, and he made the best of it. I think he dailed in 100 miles to start out, and instantly had a wahoo inhale the first of three mackeral I rigged. He kept circling a float and no more mackeral go over until he leaves it. We did catch a second one first. Good start, then Whoa! not one but two blue marlin attack us, one being in the upper 100's (if you know what I mean) anf the other about #00 +. We hook and catch this one. Then a double header big yellowfin jump us on dink rigs (lite tackle), and we lose one and get the other (83 lbs) Then we hook and catch a sailfish. Things are looking good for us now, we just need a whitw marlin for a grand slam, we get two nice gaffer dolphin and stay late trying for the white, which we didn't see. An awesome day on the water, and way cool to be back in the pit, I stuck my chest out and told Johnny I still got it , (And moved a little slow the next morning) I hope I get to do this again!
