Honestly, read some of the past posts, come to one of our meetings, and take someone who knows what they are doing for your first couple of times. There are definelty some tricks that you dont want to learn the hard way. At the meetings, we can impart a ton of info much easier than in a tedious Q+A here through this site. We will also be having a page on Tips shortly on the club website at www.MALFC.com
Speargun choice, fins, wetsuit, etc really depend on your size, interests, and abilities. We would be glad to help you anytime you would like to attend. We do have the seminar this Thursday for $30 with several experts in different areas including safety, gear, and techniques. I would highly recommend that, if you are interested in spearing this summer, you should attend. Give Reyes a call or email to let him know if you would like to come or if you have any questions. That should be in the next couple of weeks.............feel like getting wet!
