Coast Guard Clarification On Ride Sharing


Message from the Coast Guard regarding trip sharing:
These links will provide clarification of the regulations related to charter operations, and ensure that all operators who carry even one hop-on "HO" for a fee holds in their possession a valid Coast Guard license. Is anybody going to the demonstration today at lynnhaven boat ramp? I just read the article in todays sports section and if you value the use of the ramp and or the environment around it you should attend. Perfect day for it. I doubt anybody will launch today anyway....

Saw the folks on the news this evening hopefully it will get more attention to this issue. The city does not understand fisherman and women and boaters dump into thier coffers each year.

There is a public meeting on this matter Wednesday March 19 at Bayside Middle school. We need as many people as possible to show strong concern over this matter.
