Hey All,
Been wanting to go after big red and black drum in the Bay since last year when I read all the reports on this awesome board we have! Been getting
pumped again with the recent reports. I have a Triumph 19CC so the weather can really limit the days I can get outl. Be launching out of Lynhaven. This weekend looks good in terms of wind and seas, not to worried about rain.
I have a few questions and If anyone has anything other tips to add it would be much appreciated.
Bait: Clams, Crabs, menhadden....is that about right?
Locations: Fisherman's Island, Buoy 13(where is this), middle grounds, any others
Tide: Whats the best tide...incoming, outgoing
Drift or Anchor?
Nighttime or daytime?
Thanks for sharing any and all of your knowledge. Hopefully I will be able to put it use and post my report on here afterwards
Dr. Ball...I have read some of your "How to Articles" on different fish species....Do you have any on Drum fishing?
Thanks in Advance
Shep

Bait is right
Bouy 13 is west of the High Rise
I prefer outgoing (not sure why)
Anchor
Night for reds, blacks can be caught any time

Try this link. There are "how to" articles on both drum as well as many others. Good luck fishing.
