Last min plans Andy and I headed out of Little creek at 1pm for Drum.
We went straight to the 10 bouy through 3-4 foot seas with no boats in site. Anchored up alone and after about a hour we netted 40 inch black drum.
For some reason we then moved over closer to Fishermans island and did squat for about 4 hours.
Moved back to 10 bouy area and bam, within 15 min, we had a double.
Andy was on the first rod and I hooked up the other fish, I put my rod down while I netted Andy's black drum, then fought and landed my 47 inch red.
After that we had one more red double, then a single.
Ended up leaving for home at 10pm
ended up with 6 drum total
4 reds (2 citations)
2 Blacks
I will post pictures as soon as I get them

Yeah, it was kind of cool fighting the doubles in the dark, while my weiner dog was running under my feet. He gets excited when reels scream. He also gets excited when we rebait and he gets crab claws to eat. He does not care for the ES flies too much.

All Americans believe that they are born fishermen. For a man to admit to a distaste for fishing would be like denouncing mother-love and hating moonlight. --John Steinbeck 1954

Yeah right, like anyone would even let me touch the riggers.

Pretty work on the paper Eric. Tell Andy I said hey. And for the record, we don't let Eric touch the riggers on the Roll Tide either....and he owns them!
