Coast Guard Clarification On Ride Sharing


Message from the Coast Guard regarding trip sharing:
These links will provide clarification of the regulations related to charter operations, and ensure that all operators who carry even one hop-on "HO" for a fee holds in their possession a valid Coast Guard license. Had the famiy out for fun Saturday and decided to make a couple drifts on the ebb tide in the evening.  Made 4 short drifts and my 8 year old son caught a 22.5 " and I caught a 19.5" with a few throw backs.  Fished near the first island and small boat channel.
