Heading out Saturday

Heading out of Little Creek Saturday looking for meat for the freezer. Flounder or big croaker would be great but anything edible will work. First trip out since late spring so any tips on where to start looking and how to rig would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am going out this morning and plan to spend the whole day fishing the HBT, MMBT and Hampton Bar, I will try to get back to you this evening with somewhat of a report.

I am back as I promised and the fishing was OK. I hit the MMBT at slack high tide and fished the our going tide. Between the three of us we caught approximately 40 (yes 40) Flounder and only had two keepers. One was 26 inches long and the other was 23 inches long. Two decent door mats. We were fishing the Newport News side of the channel just before you get to the tunnel in approximately 30 feet of water using minnows, squid and 5 1/2" Gulp Jerk Shad. Very few croaker of any size and no trout yet.
Enjoy you weekend fishing.
