Coast Guard Clarification On Ride Sharing


Message from the Coast Guard regarding trip sharing: These links will provide clarification of the regulations related to charter operations, and ensure that all operators who carry even one hop-on "HO" for a fee holds in their possession a valid Coast Guard license. We will be down at HI this Thurs and Fri in hopes to get some tuna, mahi and wahoo. If anyone else is thinking of heading down or if you just want a report from down south give us a call.

Change in weather for Thursday. HI is out. OI is in for Friday and the Tunas are biting! Anyone heading out on Friday? Looking to ease out the inlet by 0400 and cruise out to the Tuna hole and work to the Point.

leaving Va beach @ 3:00 am,should be to OI by 5:00 am, not sure what channel is monitored out of OI usually i monitor 68 & 72 , trying to jump in @ the end of line with charters once we have cleared the inlet we'll be heading out to the 650 line looking for signs of life . will holler @ you once we're out there. good luck.
