Does anybody have a tank to keep bait in? How do I get started and where can I get the information from?

Go to Animal Jungle on Holland Road in VB. Tell'em you want to set up a Saltwater AQ for local species. My buddy has a 130 gal. tank we keep mullet/spot/crabs in.

Check CraigsList. You can usually find great deals as people often want to get rid of old tanks. Even if they have a leak they are easy to reseal using silicone. What size bait are you trying to keep? A 55 gallon tank would probably be fine. A quick search:

If you are only keeping bait then a cheap filter and air pump would be fine. If you are keeping them outside (garage, etc) during the winter then you'll need a heater. If you are keeping them in the garage during the summer then the heat may bake them. Inside then room temp is fine. Try not to overfeed them as this is the #1 problem that most people have. It causes the water quality to drop due to excessive waste. Feed 3X/week and only enough that they will eat in 5 minutes. Oh and you may also want to get a lid as they have a tendancy to jump out of teh tank. Let me know if you have any questions. I used to work at a public aquarium and have 3 saltwater tanks so I have some experiance.
