I have a buddy that has the 21 foot. It is one tough boat, will take rough water pretty good as far as the ride but it's a bit wet. Because it's not very tall you will get wet and rough water.. He has a 200 HP Yamaha on it and it will run about 40+ wide open..

As my marketing director (Steel Reel) said
We've used it extensively from the CBBT out to the light tower, and a few trips to the Fingers and Norfolk Canyon as well (on those "really" nice summer days). I've also dragged it down to Key West more than a few times for both offshore and inshore flats fishing. With the engine trimmed up you can get into (and out of) places that you think you shouldn't be able too with a 21 ft boat. Triumph also makes a 19 ft CC that would work for the rivers/bay and inshore ocean trips. I'm not sure either model is in the 20K range these days, but I'll do a price check this weekend's boat show up here at the Dulles Expo. I purchased mine at Seaport Marine in Suffolk and had a great experience. Although I heard that the dealership has been sold since the last time I was there.
I'm a big Triumph fan & I took a real serious look at the Triumph 23ft CC last year before I ended going with the 26 Scout for a few extra feet and twins for those long afternoon rides back to Rudee from the Canyon. If you have a questions about Triumph please let me know. And as a shameless marketing plug, you're always welcome to come down to Sandbrige and take a look at the 2003 210.

Thank you very much for the info and also thank you for the boat sale offer but as you live you learn! I have an older boat, like really old, and i have come to the conclusion that I want a new boat so therefore I know where it's been and what it's been through! Not saying you don't take care of your boat or nothing but I just have a better piece of mind knowing that I was the first to put gas into a boat and bring it back home. The boat I own now was only 2500 bucks and it was a learning tool. But all in all I am trying to buy new. The thing I like about triumph is the saftey. I don't want a boat too big tho because of storage prices. no more than 21ft will do me swell. So is Scout just as good?

I checked out the boat show up here last weekend. However, no Triumph dealers were in attendance.
When I bought my Triumph in 2003, both Key West & Sea Hunt boats were right around the same price point. Key West wasn't at the show either, but Sea Hunt had a 20' center console with an aluminum tandum axel trailer listed as a boat show special for $23,500. Taxes, tags, rigging and electronics were extra.
As I said in my last post I haven't been to down Seaport Marine Services for awhile, but I believe they still carry/sell both Triumph and Key West. You may want to check out their web site to get an idea of the current prices and get a comparison of Key West & Triumph.
Here's the link: http://www.seaportmarineservices.com
Good luck with your search & cash is always a great bargining chip.
