We had a customer appreciation trip setup on Friday for 15 realy great customers of REXEL. We were booked for a day of Bay Fishing, but the boat decided to take us for a day of deep dropping at the Triangles. Darn if I would have known i would have brought the Jigging Rods for my customers. Wind was honking out of the South West inshore but when we got offshore it turned real nice. Little over a two hour ride we hit the first wreck and game on! Sea Bas, Sea Bass, Sea Bass!!! At first it was the nice 2.5 to 3.5 pounders wiht several bigger 4 pounders. Then the smaller ones then the dogs. We were catching 1 keeper to 5 releases. We released a lot of keepers that were right at the 12.5" mark as well. We hit 5 different spots and it was the same story Big to little to Dogs! I can tell you it was like Croacker fishing. I actually hook so many fish and passed the rod I wore out Rufus, one of my customers.

Ended the day with 113 Keepers up to 5 pounds and a lot of happy fisherman. We were all alone and crushed it. Forgot how fun it can be doing this kind of fishing.

Well Time to head back to the Warrior for some more drag testing and reel respooling for the Hatteras Village Tournament.
