I caught a small (14") puppy drum a couple of weeks ago near langley, along with a few 16-24 inch rockfish while walking around in the marsh. Im about to carry the jon boat out there and give them a shot on the outgoing. This will be the first time Ive actually targeted puppy drum but Ill let you know how I do.

Fished a little Saturday after fishing BRR. Caught quite a few small grey trout just off the main channel and a bunch of croaker. Only spec I got was at BRR and it was very small.

Gave it a try June 2. Not a thing but I did find some really nice looking areas. I think with all the rain that the water may have been to fresh and pushed a lot of the fish out of the river. Did see a couple of small flounder caught right around the island at the mouth of the river.
I think I will try again.

tight lines
