Is anyone thinking about going offshore out of Virginia Beach this Weekend? The last SAT. shots might have been showing some warm water pushing in range of the cigar or a little farther east. Hopefully this rain will be out of here tonight and we can get a decent Sat shot of the area. The marine forecast as of now is showing the winds and waves laying down Sunday. I would be willing to buddy boat with anyone wanting to make the run.

Scott,

Ran SE of cigar this past sunday. About 85nm run to hit 68-69 degree water. Once we got there, scattered gaffer action.

I am going to wait for the water to push a little further in before the next run (1-2 more weeks). I will keep you posted and would love to buddy up with you.

I might make a run at it depending on a clear SAT shot. I'll post back Later.

Did you make a decision yet Bob? I'm still at the house right now. Todd is in Nags Head waiting on me.
I'll probably drive down soon. Curious if you're going. Still no Temp shot though. They did probably about the same
as the rest of the week at O.I. today.

I'm heading out of VB tomorrow IF I GO.....I'm taking a break from OI for a bit as I normally do this time of the year...If you're going out of OI, I would say 650 - 630 100 fathoms or deeper...no real need for a sat shot down there right now...the Tuna are there...and don't be afraid to fish in 66 - 68 degree blended water, if there are slicks, birds and marks then there are Tuna.....Good luck...I'm waiting for a better shot...if something comes up tonight before 3AM I'm going...if no good intel before 3AM, then I'll stay home and mow the back 40....Bob

Hey Bob, I was kinda waiting on the Sat shot too at this point. The weather bouy is only showing 62 degree water so I have a feeling that water never moved in. I don't think I want to run 80 miles to the fish.
