I have been to the Tower now about a million times. I have normally used a regular anchor. Last weekend I got my butt whooped trying to anchor. I had to put out about 400 ft of roap to get the anchor to grab good. I have about 25 ft of chain so that is not an issue. I watched a couple of smaller boats use a wreck anchor out there and they anchored up quick. I have a 25 ft boat that is older and heavier. I have never used a wreck anchor in sand like that, should I give it a whirl or what? I am just wondering if it would work better with a wreck anchor or a normal anchor. Any help would be awesome.

I have dove the tower a few times and there is somestructure around the tower, but not a whole lot. I have a 26' boat and have never had a problem anchoring up. What type and size anchor are you using?
