The crew will be assembling down in back bay on the beach today for some surf fishing. its blowing up to 20mph out of the north so it should be interesting. still a nice day to be at the beach.

Set up around 64th street today, WINDY beyond reason. Couldn't keep the bait still with the wind and the strong southerly current. hope you guys had better luck!

heh, i never made it. i had to do the family thing for lunch so my room mate went down before me. he called me when he got down there and said "dont bother coming". anything placed on the beach was covered in sand in just a few minutes. he said the sand was blowing harder then during the last hurricane we had!

we decided to go pond hoping out in pungo and found some catfish and a gar. wasn't the beach but still a good save of a beautiful day! see the fresh water section for the report.

Thursday, fished 0900 (last of incoming tide) till about 1600 (low tide). Water was nice, Duck Army Pier called it 77 degrees. W wind,then E later in the day. One spot, one croaker and my daughter caught a roundhead I should have taken to be weighed. A nice "fall size". He was scrumptious. Also skates. Small fish on BW Fishbites and roundhead on sandfleas.
Do folks look at you weird when you jump around and dig feverishly in the surf? Relax, folks I is just looking fo' sandfleas.
