Anglers:

Sat. June 29th.

Left the inlet to flat calm seas. This trip was a combo Spanish Mack / Cobia trip. Had Ret. Senior Chief Dan B & his son aboard for the 1st time this year. Dropped lines north of the new pound nets and commenced the troll towards the cape. Found a school of Spanish immediately. Got just East of the Cape in 30-35 ft of water and worked their asses. Stopped at 23. Then went in hunt for the "Brown Suite".

Got to the rock and dropped the hook. Set the fatest eel food-smiley-002.gif we had out on a tld 25 and before the chum bag was in the water. The drag started screaming. sport-smiley-005.gif sport-smiley-003.gif sport-smiley-005.gif Oh yeah baby, I was hoping it would catch on fire.........but it didnt. Then the run ceased and the line fell slack. Got the chum bag off the anchor set and #2 off the stern on top. Set out some live croakers and another eel. This year we are running 5 lines off the boat on the hook. Then the heat set in. sad-smiley-047.gif Had one more run off on live bait and that one was believed to be a shark. party-smiley-028.gif Saw the clouds forming to our west and decided to pack up and head to the barn. Passed Entropy on the way back in and admired their "Million Dollar" chum slick. "Great Job Guys". But with the seas and wind picking up it was getting harder to stay put.

Got to the dock just in time. Had a call from a buddy that they were getting their butts kicked in on the way home from the CLT. He told me it was rough as hell. He told me his EPIRB was in hand standing by. storm.gif yikes.gif Glad we didnt make the run.

Got cleaned up and had a Mack fry on the dock "On Course" style. Thanks to Heather & the girls for an "AWESOME FATHERS DAY FEAST"

Will post pics later!!!!!
