Sorry for the late report. Made it out to Cape Henry Saturday morning with my 9 yr old daughter. Lines in around 0640 and immediately picked up some small blues. Picked up the trolling speed between 6-8 mph and started picking up spanish. We traded driving and catching duties for the next four and a half hours and stopped with our limit of 14"-23" fish. They were hitting clarkspoons on at all depths - the planer under the motor wash, in-line weights 3-8 oz, to the Boone bird.

Most interesting part while we were trolling was two ospreys that started following us. They kept getting lower and lower. I figured they were checking out the Boone bird. Well, as you would expect, thats when a spanish hit one of the weighted rigs and came to the surface while I was retrieving it. The lead osprey went into a short delta and stopped then repeated it's "attack" again. My daughter and I were both yelling at it trying to distract it... Glad we didn't have to get on the radio and ask "what's the size limit and citation size is for an osprey..."

Smoked up a bunch of spanish filets Sunday night!

Also, thanks to the other trollers out there for not running us over. Pleasant day on the water with my daughter.

Tight lines!

Try down around Cape Henry and look for the tide rips. We did pretty good down around the cape this past weekend.
