If you plan on going out to the CLT, you may want to consider getting there early!! Dont get me wrong I like going for spades at the CLT and you can get a limit quick, especially on crappy days because there isn't as many boats out there to russle up everything. But really, the 3rd island and the 4th island of the CBBT can be just as much plentiful as well as the 1st and the 2nd island....If you can I would try to pick a week day to go the CLT because the weekends are just a madhouse. Good luck,

-Chris

I've tried the Islands before but it was late in the season, when yur fishing them to you anchor up on the down current side so your bait drifts into the rocks or do you have best luck fishing the ends of the islands. Ya if i hit the tower it will be during the week and early.....oh i know what im doing caught a few citations there the last few yrs!!! thanks for the info!!!

There are alot of pretty big spades (10+lbs), triggers, and some big AJ's out on the tower. Great fishing now if you can find a spot.

Yep, there was a small school of 40-50lbers circling the base of the tower.
