Finally caught our first cobia after having fished for them over the last two years. Not the biggest in the bay but he kept at 39". The fight was nothing less than I had been told and just as exciting. Wish I had a picture to show but that was forgotten in all the preparations. Thanks for all the help and info you guys have given over the years.

Caught him on an eel on a bottom fish finder rig. We had spots but couldn't keep them away from the hound fish so gave up on trying to fish with them. For whatever reason, the hound fish wouldn't mess with the eels.

Excellent eating fish as well. Made a marinade with lime juice, soy sauce, fresh minced garlic, red pepper flakes, and cilantro. Poured it over and let it sit for about 45 minutes and then grilled it. One of the best I've had.
