Well....things have definately slowed down out there but the quality of the fish has "vastly" improved for sure.....we left owls creek to a beautiful ride out to the Canyon at 0400....35 Kts got us there fairly quickly...we had lines in the water by around 0620ish......Trolled some of the Toots pots and pulled a couple of decent Mahi off those...we could have bailed but we had Tuna on the brain...imagine that !!...lol...

Had a White come and steal a couple of our baits but never came completely tight...there was at least 1 White caught today around the canyon....

Finally we get our Tuna bite around the 420 line in 300 fathoms...I think we had 3 lines get hit and 1 came tight....this one was on a G&H Blue and White sea witch.....Vodoo is on this one and bring in a respectable 55 plus # Tuna.....Tuna in the box.....We work the area for a bit...has two fish blow up on my flat lines but again, not come tight.....

End up around the 370 line in 50 fathoms when the Right Flat gets hammered, comes ungled and then the Pink Tiki Bar in the shot gun gets just destroyed...we all saw the hit and we were thinking Blue Marlin by the amount of water that came up.....

Steady works this fish in and we finally get steel to another 50# plus Tune.....

Alot of boat pressure out there today but weather could not be beat....so final tally..

2 for 5 YFT to 55#
2 for a few Mahi..
0 for 1 White

Great time with Mark, Steady and Phil from the G&H crew who decided to ride with us for some R&D.....Bob
