Started trolling east towrds the canyon from the fingers yesterday. picked up 4 gaffer dolphin and one bailer within 10 miles east of the fingers. Two double knock downs, with only one coming tight each time. No debris, no temp break, no grass line, random strikes on everything we had in the water. We had a pink squid chain on the WWB, islander/hoo combo's on the longs, and naked islanders on the shorts. All were hit at one time or another, with the naked green, and the black/red islander hoo combo being prevelant. Water temp was around 69 - 70, and we picked most of them up in 165-170 ft of water.
My 12 year old son got his first Dolphin and is now completely hooked. Chris |
