Taking the kids 6 & 8 fishing on Saturday in the Back River area, probably won't venture much past the BR1 marker. Not looking for anyone’s secret holes or anything just some spots to wet the line and to get the kids a pull or two, sharks would be a great plus.

Definately not my area of expertise, but I have been out of Dandy Haven Marina a couple of times and I have to say, make sure you know were the skinny water is (see image).

As to fishing in there, I would venture to say that a bottom rig with squid on it would provide lots of hookups for the kids about anywere in there.

Good luck.

Thanks for the input. I have spot a few holes on the charts to try out.

I keep my boat there, and I've never failed to catch plenty of croaker, spot , mullet and other small fish for bait, fishing the edges of the channel between Messick and Factory Point....

Thanks, that’s my plan of action. I spotted some nice deep water holes on the charts (if they exist) to start at. I appreciate all the input.
