Coast Guard Clarification On Ride Sharing


Message from the Coast Guard regarding trip sharing: These links will provide clarification of the regulations related to charter operations, and ensure that all operators who carry even one hop-on "HO" for a fee holds in their possession a valid Coast Guard license. Fished early Sat. morning. Stopped by the ODU reef on the way out to no avail. At the first island by 6:30 landing a bunch of shorts and toads.
Back at the dock by 10:00 am. NO FISH FOR THE BOX... but a great morning to be on the water.
Decided to give it go again Sun. morning headed straight to the first..on the spot by sun-up. Not nearly as many boats as the day before I guess because of the Flounder Tournament the day before? Again... lots of fish under 19, but I did manage a couple for the box !! a 24 and a 20..... Man I love summer!!
