It's about time! I'm tired of having to drift my boat in to the dock with the motor trimmed up every time.

Seems to me, most people drive thier boat onto thier trailer (unless they have rollers). I know I do. Don't think that the way I do it quite consitutes "Power Loading" though.

I have a spot on my trailer that I like to get the water to. Allows me to drive on, shut the motor off and then hook my winch up and pull her the rest of the way. Gets me out of everyones way the fastest IMHO.

Is this considered wrong? How do all of you do it?

I still do it the old fashioned way- I leave the wife holding the lines, grab the trailer while waiting for anyone else to get out of the way, back till my fenders are just submerged and stop. By now, my help should be bringing the boat up, toss me the front line and I pull her on til she hits. Takes about 2' to 3' of cable to pull her on at that point, hook the chain and get out of the way. I used to drive on but found I was marking the hull when I did it so do it this way to keep from having to clean the marks off. I carry my waders for rockfishing to get hooked up- I have a bow pulpit and anchor that interfere with walking out on the tongue and my balance ain't that good. I HATE to provide the entertainment at the end of the day and ride home wet!
I know you believe you understand what you think I said but I am not sure
that what you heard is what I meant!
