Hey all,
We decided to run Sunday the 4th,beings we didnt have a charter...so Dad, myself, and my 12 year old son(his first time to the deep) untied the egg at the crack of light and headed east. We ran right to the "g" buoys and put the spread out and the first past we hook up to a fish and I hand the rod to my son...get the lines cleared and he begins to crank....10 minutes later I sink the gaff into what turns out to be a 24lb bull mahi. (1lb shy of paper). He was thrilled to say the least. we make a couple more passes and another rod goes off and the one rod that I didnt have wire on gets cut off..wahoo for sure. We worked a weed line for a while and it was empty of fish..head back to buoys and get covered up in False Albs...fun catchin. We decided to stick the day out the buoys and we were rewarded with a 30lb wahoo that bit one with wire this time. More false Albs there also. We ended up with 7 of those fat alberts. All in all it was a great day...With what I call my the crew.."The Three generation crew". Dale

Where are the "G" buoys? Are we talking the yellow buoys out past the Ches Light tower?
