do not winterize & do continue to use all year long!!!!!

no, really I don't do a whole lot. since the boat is in the water, it is warmed by the seawater below. when it gets really cold, like frostbite challenge cold, we have an engine heater that has an automatic thermostat to kick it on & off. just a plug in type thing, our boat is not equipped with block heaters. just top off the antifreeze & start from time to time & keep your batteries up...it takes a lot to crank those cold diesels.

last year was the only time I have ever...ever winterized a boat. only beacuse it was out of the water to replace the fuel tank.

a lot of times, if you fish all day, the next morning the engines are still warm to the touch.

if I plan to fish the next day, & it's gonna be cold, I will go to the boat the afternoon before & start the engines & bring them up to temperature while we are getting set for the next day. don't know if it helps, but I do it anyway.

you're gonna be out there in the madness for striper season aren't you Tracey??
