I fished out of Rudee along the Sandbrige beaches this past Saturday for kings. All I caught were sharks on slow trolled taylors. Could anyone tell me the coord's for the SE Lumps or any other close inshore structure along VA Beach/Sandbridge or Northern N.C. I have a 21ft boat so I would like to stay relatively close in. Thanks in advance.

If I were you I would stay with what youa re doing...you have a good plan...keep executing it...
Plan A. I would look down towards SB around the pier...a few hunnerd yards off the peir and bump troll the taylors...or better yet get a flat or two of menhaden and a blender...frappe a couple handfuls of them and mix with oatmeal and menhaden oil...chunk up the rest of them real good into thumb size pcs and anchor up a few hunnerd yards offshore...send a couple of nice hand fulls of chum over...set yer lines and hang on...you'll get your King Mackeral...
Plan B. Repeat plan A except location...venture out to the CLT and its system of structure to the north west...repeat plan A's excecution and hang on...

Taylors are "nickname" for little bluefish. It's like calling small stripers, schoolies. Big blues are choppers.

My grandfather was a gunners mate on an oiler during WW II. His ship left Norfolk VA and did not come back for 4 years.
Dad loves to talk about it, with guys that were there.
