I am going out with a buddy of mine tomorrow looking for spanish and we have never fished for them. I've got planers with clark spoons and regular weighted leaders as well. Where have they been biting lately and what speed to troll?

I would go to Cape Henry and troll around the wrecks. I would troll so everything is working. I don't know what speed because my boat I use RPM's but i can tell you this if you are catching more Blue fish than Spanish speed up until you catch more Spanish than Blues. good luck

I was out this AM off Cape Henry and the Spanish were cooperating. Setup was the usual -- clark spoons, 20 foot leaders, 4 to 8 ounce trolling weights and planers. I usually do better on the non-planer lines, and planers sometimes are just a pain. Anyway, just look for the baitfish. I caught fish in 25 - 50 feet of water, trolling 6-7 MPH. The fish today were on the bay side of the Lighthouses, kind of off that gray watchtower where the cape starts to wrap around. I was never more than 1/2 mile offshore. The taylor blues like it shallower and slower I have found in that area.

By the way, what are the coordinates for the Cape Henry Wrecks I keep hearing about??

This site has just about everything I can think of for CLT wrecks, it has different GPS than you have.

This will fill your unit up pretty well.

Someone posted this site on this board sometime ago.

Put a 3 inch Drone WTFB on your shotgun with some wire leader while you are trolling for S Macks and you could pick up a K Mack .
