Coast Guard Clarification On Ride Sharing


Message from the Coast Guard regarding trip sharing:
These links will provide clarification of the regulations related to charter operations, and ensure that all operators who carry even one hop-on "HO" for a fee holds in their possession a valid Coast Guard license. looking for some weather help on Monday. Forecast calling for NW 10-15 seas 3 ft. Will it be bad off of rudee in a 21ft CC? Thanks for your input. unsure.gif

Just keep an eye on it. Anything with west in it is usually not bad as long as you hug the coast. You should be alright I used to take my 21 parker and had no problems. It will probably change a couple times before Sunday...

thanks for the help, just don't want to drive 1 and 1/2 hours to find rough water.

I agree with the other responses with one other point.The closer you are to the mouth of the bay esp. on ongoing tide the bumper it can get, but your boat should be alright.
