No we wouldent want that!! Its bad for the boats MOJO! The bigger fish have been in or around 40' of water. THe Yancy has been producing pretty good fish too. On the pilings I would suggest hard crab becausr the fish seem to bita a little softer. THe fiddlers are hit fast but often taken on the first bite. Behind the first has been doing pretty good as well. To be honest with you I havent been to much ferther than 2nd island and ome home with my limit of 3-5lb males just about every trip. I have seen a couple of 9's and 11's and one 13 so far this year. Good luck, and tight lines

Fat fish are in shallows now. Mostly females but some nice males mixed in. Slayed em averaging around 16" today in 10-12' of water. Kept 4 males 19-21". Tagged 35 females. In the skinny water use fiddlers or hard crab.
I often wonder, do I lure the fish...or do the fish lure me?

You know it takes a lot less males to keep a population up. I have no problem releasing females. How can you tell the male from the female togs?

Right now the females have a huge bulging stomach. The anal hole on the female will be a bright reddish/orange. THe males have the white chins and a sharp slope on theier heads. Today for me the males seemed to hit a little softer than the females. I was using mostly fiddlers and blue crab.

I'll be out this weekend Good luck and tight lines
