Well I had to re-glass the deck cover over my fuel tank, so while I did that I glassed in the backing for a leaning post; Then I went to my favorite used boat yard (Budget Boats) and got the parts I needed to make my first leaning post. Skinny's Kid gets 50% credit on design and fabrication. Thanks again Don!!

I was thinking the exact same thing. Of course I do not have an engineering crew like Don at my disposal.

Ive seen similar contraptions for sale for around 700 bucks. Does budget boats have the pedestal and mount?

That's one thing we forgot Otter...the cup holders!! biggrin.gif

It's cool, too, because Mike can take it off and have a 3rd chair there or a table for when he's cruising, or we also fabricated a flush plate to cover it if you don't want it on the boat at all.

Eric...you can get those pedestals at Budget Boats..but depends on what they have.

Next project....teak fighting chair for my boat biggrin.gif biggrin.gif !!!!

Eric,

I think I spent around $150 and most of that was the rod holders, the pedestal and mount was $30 bucks, if you can believe that, I think its over $150 new. The starboard was left over from redoing my splashboard and the only other thing was a stainless steel spring and the fasteners. One would look great on the Albe!!
