Jeff, I am with you. To toughen the body against the rigors of the sea, drink like a pirate the night before, go out and puke your guts out, down a few beers and the world will be right.

Doctors often prescribe "antivert" for vertigo, which is what causes seasickness. The over the counter name, generic is meclazine hydorchloride, (I think the spelling is correct) and is a lot cheaper to purchase under that name. It is the same as Bonine. The secret is to take one pill at night before bed, and one first thing in the morning when you get up. It helps not to load up on food and alcohol the night before!

Triptone is a pill like Dramamine, but less drowsy and works better in my opinion even though i've never been sick, just watching others.

Works everytime.
Actually Ive never been sea sick, I get sleepy if Im tossing around for a few days, but sleep like a baby.
I had a special forces guy on my boat a few weeks ago, he was letting it rip.
