Went out around 4:00 pm with Mike on Rockin Robin and headed out in the diminishing winds to the Small Boat Channel. Trolled in between the spans with a Stetch and a storm lure. Had one knock down on the stretch. Once night fell, we were marking fish, but no takers. Thought about coming home then we saw the birds. They came in from no where and started working the light line. Picked up one keeper on the troll on the bay side of the span of fof a storm lure and then anchored up on the bay side between the SBC and the 1st Island to cast. 1000's of birds...caught 4 schoolies. Action wasn't hot and heavy, but there were fish there. Best lure was a 5 or 6 inch bunker colored Storm.

Bobby..tried the bubble gum Fin-S that you gave me a while ago...no takers. How to you fish it???

It was hard fishing with the birds...we caught 3 of them last night!!

Hey Don, at least you caught some... As for the Fin-s, fish it between the top 12" of water, medium to fast retrieve, If nothing is hitting it there then bump it across the bottom.

It sucks catchin birds....

I finally got my boat out for the first time in two months a week ago Sunday. It's up running and ready for striper.

Jeff captain fat beard of the "goat Sucker" should not make fun of the "golden ho" Welcome back Don.

We fished thrusday in the middle bay Rappahannock River area, for 2:30p to about 6:30P.

we caught about 125 fish and a gull. most were small schoolie Rocks in the 12 to 18 inch size. several small bluefish as well. The fish were caught on small spoons. Did a lot of jigging as well.

My first hook up was the one odd fish. 27 inch very fat Rock covered in sea lice. he hit a 3/4 oz white buck tail with a white kalin grub trailer.

Oh by the way we trolled as well and picked up fish. we didnt have all the weight we needed so we used 00 plainers. I was amazed at how much easier that is than all that weight on the bottom.

Ah... the bubble gum didn't let you down... the panama jack lotion did. That's like having a bananna.... in the bay anyways.

I was gonna call you to go fishin but I figured these 18-20" guppies would bore you... then you would never talk to me again.

Well... how about it... wanna learn the bubble gum trick? cool_smiley.gif
