fishhook_ani.gif Well I think I am now the "Dink Master" of the CBBT!!! There
can`t be too many dinks left that I haven`t put a hook in !!!!!! Today was a
beautiful day to be fishing..Got started around 930, traffic on 64 E around Fort
Eustuse was stopped by a fender bender..Incoming tide was roaring, wind SW
around 10, temp. a little cool, but warmed up nicely...I`m thinking that this was a good day to bring my neighbor to catch his first striper..Well it was, except that
all I could find were dinks!!!!!!!!!!!! Jigged & wirelined. Marked some nice fish
around the 8mm, but they had lockjaw..We fished through the rest of the incoming
tide and the first couple hrs. of the outgoing.. As far as a lot of fish caught, we
probably had about 40.. Not one keeper in the bunch !!!!!!!!!!!!! A slot fish would
have been a real trophy today...Just tossing a slot fish back would have given
me a lift...There are positive`s to todays outing--I did manage a 22" Flounder!!
My neighbor did catch his first striper, and quite a few--He is ready to go again-
Boat ran great and we came back safe and sound..Still beats work!!!!!!!! So this
day the fish won but they better look out for the next time it`s my turn!!!!!!!!!!
Didn`t sound like the ocean around CH was giving up anything either...Wish I
had a better report, maybe I`ll fish in 3 foot water next time and snag one of
those 77" BFT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! animal-smiley-043.gif

Nice Job! I'll take 40 throw backs over a day of work anytime.

Even though I rarely pass up the chance to put fish in the boat even if I cant keep them. I have committed the sin of leaving fish to find bigger fish and my son frowns when we do it. I will usually stick on the schoolies for 45 min to an hour then leave for greener pastures. Getting the skunk off the boat is what keeps us sane.
