I was out today. Fished around the golf ball, ramada, 3rd/4th, etc... Not much happening anywhere that I could tell, beatiful day. I heard one guy running south near Kitty Hawk to find fish. There were fish off the Ramada and Cape Henry but not biting. No birds working the water at all.
As far as North/South, I heard today that there was action down at the Rodanthe pier!! I will probably either run over to Cape Charles or fish the Ramada tomorrow and listen to radio. Tempeted to wait a few days to see if the South West winds blow in any warmer water but tomorrow will be nice.
Good Luck.
I will be fishing on the VIP.

Thanks, I will be out Thursday and we are probably going to run towards Corolla unless I hear otherwise from tommorrows fishing reposrts. I think this warm weather is going to make the bite real HOT this coming week. Well it can't be as bad as it has been. I will be on 68 answering to "Spoiled Rotten" Thanks for the response....

My temp guage was not working well. Had temps between 41 and 45.

Check out these two sites Jason turned me onto:
www.tidesonline.nos.noaa.gov
www.frf.usace.army.mil
These sites give real-time info for wind/waves/air/water temps down at the Duck Pier. They should help you plan your trip.

Fished the 4A area yesterday marking a lot of fish on bottom with no takers. Water temp reading 44 degrees by my gauge. Listened to radio yesterday, seems like from down south to up north, bite was not on. Maybe Thursday.

Lack of interest on the fish part seems to be the story. I hope the fish are still game for some pullage before the seaon ends. I do have a question though. Is it the water temperature that drives the fish south or is it a time factor? I'm still learning the habits of the few fish species that I've encountered since first fishing in April.
