That's if I get the boat ready on Friday. Just need a washing and install a fuel/water seperater. Seems a must have with this new fuel requirement. Boat ran a little off last year. Had it checked out through the my dealer a few weeks ago and tuned. For $450 they say all is good to go.
Work and this crapy weather has been my problem with getting out the last week or two for some preseason shake down. Work is really being a pain!
Will post some results if I get out, for these Maryland folks, if any read. Hope to get down to VB very soon for some Tog and flounder fishing. And try for some spade as well.
My problem is, most of my fishing buddies are from Maryland ( Bums ). Hope to make a meet and greet down there soon.

Looking forward to it, but if my last few years are any indication, I'm going to be throwing back some fish in that 35 - 41 inch slot. That slot accounts for about 2/3 of my catches.

Forgot to mention, I'll be going out of the South river. Usually fish from Matapeake to Thomas Point to Bloody Point.

Man, I can't wait. I did not get to fish alot last year but managed to catch a 400 lb Blue Marlin. The boat is tuned and waxed. All I have left to do is adjust my new radar.

Does the Maryland Rockfish season open on Saturday? If so does that include below 301 bridge to the bay? I have Va. Regulations and all they say is May 1-15 is trophy season in coastal waters. Is there a website in Maryland I can look at? Please let me know and good fishing to all!
Thanks

See the above site. this is from the Maryland DNR. The Potomac River is closed. Only the main portion of the bay to Virginia line is open the 21st.

Thanks for Maryland regs link. I don't know why they state no tributaries on the first part of there regulations and if you keep reading it says you can fish from RT301 bridge to Maryland & Va. tributaries downstream from the bridge???? During the same time period April 21- May 15.This is very confusing and you almost have to be a lawyer to fish anymore. But it looks like a good weekend to go fishing and it's a little to far to get to the Bay from Aquia Creek so I might try my luck from Rt 301 to Cobbs Island. With gas prices the way they are you can only go so far with the boat. I will probably be out there Sunday to fish. And if I catch something worth while I will keep you all posted. Thanks for the information and the best of luck to you fishing this year.
