I'm gonna try to head out of Lynhaven on Fri for the black drum. I usually can find sea clams near Mechanicsville before I leave, but in the event I can't get 'em, any suggestions as to where I can find some fresh near Bubba's.

I have gotten them from Light House Tackle on Shore Dr near Bubba's but not sure how fresh they are, they are deshelled and in plastic containers.

Good Luck

Thanks, I appreciate the info. It's always good to have a backup.

Long Bay Pointe always has them. Right on the water so you can get them right from your boat.

Long bay has them in a shell, fresh but stinky. Take a cooler with ice to keep them in.

I got a dozen last week and they opened up before I got home. Good thing my truck has rubber floor boards (as all trucks should) just hosed it out.

Use peeled shrimp or cracked crab.Sea lice if you can find them work best.

Surfside Bait and Tackle on Old Mechanicsville Tpk @ Shady Grove Rd. You can usually get them fairly regularly.
