I'll be taking a break when these dog days of summer hit us soon and the water temps hit 80 or better. The tuna will be hard to find then.

mmmmmmmm Bo.......I think a freindly wager may be appropriate....see you out there buddy.....

Erik....I invited the good Captain Fatbeard but he had prior engagements that precluded him from fishing with us again....oh well.....
Don't know exactly where we're heading yet. Gonna get some reports from the guys who left today and make a final call tonight.....Now I have to go to an event that stopped me from fishing today.....Chow time !......Bob

We just got back. Nada. Went from Rudee to the Norfolk south wall in the AM, ran into the 30F for a while, back out to 10 miles south of tip and worked our way back up in 100-500F. One knockdown all day. Water was 75.5 from the CLT to the canyon. and crept up to 78-79 by 1PM. Chumlord and several other folks picked a few tuna and dolphin from the fingers to the canyon but I didn't hear anything spectacular. It sounded like folks were schwacking them at the Washington and someplace about 60 miles south of the Norfolk. There was a boat I believe up by the Washington that was hooked up on "something" all day. When I left at 2PM they had been hooked up for almost 7 hours and still had not seen what it was.

Nada for me too today. Fished the finger out to 30F. Saw bait on the surface
but could not mark anything underneath. Had something boil behind the short
rigger but never took it. Had a school of tuna pop up right in front of us but
no takers. Stuck with the bait waiting for the bite to start but it never happened.
I second what Rich said water at the fingers that was 74-75 deg. in the morning
was 80 deg. at 2:00 when we packed it in.
Wish I could be of more help.
