hey guys, my extended family is coming into town next week and my father asked if i would take them fishing. I only have a 19 ft CC and there are two younger kids that want to go...sio I am thinking i will just stick to the inlet. My question is what is biting and what should i use to catch what is biting.

Many thanks
Chris

Spot and croaker on bloodworm Fishbites. Puppy drum on shrimp, mullet or menhaden. Flounder on mullet. There is plenty of mullet in the inlet so bring your cast net. Watch out for the rays.... good luck! smile.gif

Fished Lunhaven yesterday and had a better time fishing for the bait than fishing with the bait. Puppies, baby black drum, big spot and average croaker. Even got to see a big old red take a swirl right next to our boat. Sidenote...some of the folks passing you in no wake zones in there are A- HOLES. If you have a smaller ride keep your ears open for the throttle of the boats coming your way. The (Big boys) will swamp you or rock one of your guests into the drink in an instant. THEY own LYNHAVEN...you are their GUESTS...... mad.gif

The easiest spot to catch bait is right on the beach on the boat ramp side of Lesner Bridge. You don't have to throw far... just a few yards out. You can load up on menhaden in just one cast. You can tell the schools of menhaden by the small splashes of water here and there.

Of course mullet are sneakier as they can see the net descending upon them... you got to throw the net on a lower trajectory. You can tell the schools of mullet by their V-shaped wake on the water surface.

Good luck! smile.gif
