I will also be out Saturday, it's looking good. I will be fishing some wrecks in the ocean, not cape henry. Let's get on them. My freezer is hurtin this time of year. I just re-gassed my grill and picked up a few gallons of peanut oil. I monitor 68 and go by "Loose Screw" or "Hurst".

Won't make it Saturday but may give it a shot today just to get out. Not sure if we will hit wrecks today or search for line siders. I've got to scratch the itch and Sundays to far away. Will monitor 68 as gordy or gus. It will be hard to miss us...brand new 22' Proline bright red. I'll let you know how we do if we make it out today.

I went to get my boat for pre-fishing season maintenance and I think I learned an unwanted valuable lesson. She started up on the first try, which made me jump for joy but the water coming out of the side of the engine quickly stopped that action. So it's off to the shop to find out what went wrong. You guys save some of the fish. It looks like I'll be land-based for a while!

Sounds like a freeze plug popped out the block.

That lesson doesn't have anything to do with forgetting to winterize?
