Well, the bad news is we didn't catch any fish. The good news is we have a fresh load of fuel on board so we will not have any algae in the fuel iissues.
Not a good day for Water Dog -as far as fishing goes - left the Inlet and turned right to the 050 line (really turn out not to be a right turn, if you know what I mean). Listened to the boys running to the 350 line getting beat up on the way-out and wondered if we should not be joining them. We got hit on the planer 10 min after we deployed spread --got two hits at 12:30 - none of which came tight. That was it. Fished with about 50 boats from th Oregon Inlet fleet that appeared not to be doing so well, in the same area.
We'll have to get 'em next time. Althiugh the troubling aspect as we have not seen a marlin in the spread in two weeks. May have to make some adjustments, as this condition cannot be tolerated. Hate coming home with no flags.
Congrat's to team Still Think'n and Mega Bite on the great work. Outstanding catches. A slam anywhere is a tough thing, but to accomplish it out of VB, is a real testament to angling skill. Keith you are the man.
Bob, great tunas. hard to do this time of year.
