Today we took a group from the Central Virginia Sport Fishing Association organized by Mr. Bishop Knott. It was a great time with some very skilled anglers. Mr. Knott did a report already, so I'll just cut & paste it here:
Several members from our local fishing club (CVSFA) decided to fish the Jil Carrie Sunday. Capt. Jim, Capt Steve, and "Scooby" (mate) were 1st class. We had a great time and caught about 150 fish. Caught our share of dog fish but, hey, good pullage..
We caught 12 tilefish and LOTS of seabass with several citations with most fish in the 3 to 4 lb range. Steve gave Capt Jim a break at the wheel so he could catch a few and using a 5 hook rig droped his line over and soon hooked up. What a fight, Jim finally gets the fish to the boat and he has a dogfish on each of the 5 hooks, sota looked like a dogfish daisy chain.
Thanks again Capt Jim and Capt Steve and Scooby for a GREAT fishing trip.
If you want to catch fish I'd recommend calling them.
