HookMaster
Went out to the CBBT yesterday AM @ the small boat channel near the beach and was catching spot - double hook ups almost every drift between the spans using Fish Bites. Lots of Croaker mixed in too. I was trying to get live flounder bait but all of the spot were about 8 or more inches long which I would think are too big for live baiting. Did try the 4th island tube drifting what I had on the outgoing for about an hour and a half, but no hits. Saw few boats also drifting with live bait but did not see any floundr being caught. Any help on live baiting for flounder would be great. I have drifted the 1st island and 1st island channel, the 3rd island etc. with strips of bluefish, croaker and sqiud over the past two or three weeks but only got one keeper with some throw backs. Any suggestions on other locations besides the CBBT for this weekend? Oh yea, did land a 24" Striper between the spans at the curve of the 3rd drifting a live spot - thought I had a flounder! Great day on the water.........

Thanks,

Here We Go
We can meet some where and I will be gald to take the big spot off your hands!

Seriously I like the bigger spot, they aren't attacked by oyster toads as bad and when you get a bite it's a good one.
