hey guys I'm heading to Costa Maya and Cosmel & Grand Cayman Sat for a week
if you could only bring a few lures, What would you bring????? we'll be fishing from a panga for 6 hrs, one day chartering 1/2 another proubly use theirs on 1/2day

Sting silvers,Topwater plugs, Bucktails,small Tomics. Those new plastic crabs,Wire 40 ,30#Braided for leader,FlouroCarbon..Live Bait hooks ,Sabachi Rigs ,Extra Line,a few tools to work on and tighten stuff,small can WD-40.Fingernail clippers,pliers,Gloves.Neosporan & assorted Bandaids,Mecuricrome.

Do they still make mecuricrome? Man that stuff stings!

I know this is common sense in this day and age, but don't pack anything with hooks or sharps in your carry on bag.

Also if you need to make a rod case, 3" PVC pipe works great. Cut it to the length you need, put a cap on one end and a screw cap on the other and you're good to go. Wrap the top, middle and end of the rod with packing material so it doesn't bang around. I have transported rods around the world with this setup and never lost a rod or damaged one. You just need to check with the airline on what their length limit is for luggage or you may have to pay extra. You want to pack two rods, use 5" pipe.

As for lures I would also add Diamond Jigs, I've caught everything on em, Mahi, tuna, jacks, barracuda.

mirrolures.DEFINITELY BRING MIRROLURES ESP> IN GREEN OR BLU

3 inch avacado color tubes

i cought cuda,tarpon,cobia,and a 46 lb king

also bring a rapala needlefish lure for cuda
for bones bringmarabou jigs (like for crappie)
